Job description:

The role of the Digital Media Coordinator is integral to the effective delivery of Marketing, Communication and PR services to the Precinct. Reporting to the Brand and Business Development Manager, the Digital Media Coordinator must ensure that campaigns get done on time, in full and within budget.

Our Digital Media Coordinator will collaborate with key players across Tshimologong’s business units to make sure that each campaign gets the resources and attention it needs to be successful. The ability to work in a team as well as on one’s own is essential. The successful candidate for this role will also be responsible for handling correspondence with clients and communicating with other departments within the company to keep marketing campaigns on track.

Proven ability to track and report on campaigns is essential.

The role of the Digital Media Coordinator specifically entails, but is not limited to, Marketing coordination and Project management.

Marketing responsibilities:

  • Develop content that promotes Tshimologong’s brand in keeping with digital innovation across social media channels and website including relevant captions, related quality photography and videography management
  • Assist in the showcasing of Tshimologong members’ milestones and successes
  • Design a monthly newsletter and manage and grow Tshimologong’s email marketing database in accordance with the POPI Act
  • Analyze data across Tshimologong’s digital channels and build strategies to increase traffic based on key insights.
  • Assist in managing stakeholder communication, both internal and external.

Project responsibilities

  • Develop marketing campaigns for the launch of new programmes as well as the duration of programmes
  • Coordinate the implementation of Tshimologong’s internal and external marketing activities according to strategic project plans
  • Manage relationships with the department’s marketing related suppliers
  • Develop a budget for marketing campaign related activities
  • Coordinate customer and supplier invoicing with Finance office
  • Provide input for reporting on Tshimologong’s marketing activities

Skills:

  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Experience in the use of virtual meetings and events
  • Entry-level design skills
  • Project Management
  • Relationship Management
  • Developing project presentations
  • General understanding of working with Search Engine Optimization and analytics

Qualifications:

A 3 year Degree/ Diploma (at least NQF level 6) or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a fast- paced, uncertain and complex Marketing and Events environment
  • Have worked in marketing or advertising agency
  • Worked in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Work proficiently in MS Office (project reporting and analyzing data/insights)
