HEAD OF ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Enterprise Development to lead and grow Tshimologong’s enterprise development function. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of ED will oversee the design and implementation of entrepreneurial programmes, manage strategic partnerships, and ensure that the department’s initiatives align with Tshimologong’s overall mission and goals. This is a senior management role that requires a dynamic leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution — someone passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, and building Africa’s digital economy.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PMBOK, Agile, or CAPM).
- Experience in curriculum design and delivery for entrepreneurship programmes.
- Familiarity with innovation hubs, digital incubators, and university-based enterprise development.
- Track record in fundraising or proposal development for donor-funded projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business, or related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in Management, Business, or Commerce (Master’s preferred).
- At least 10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in a business incubator, startup advisory role, or entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Proven experience driving business growth, managing partnerships, and overseeing projects.
- Strong understanding of programme design, project management, and financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise development strategy aligned with Tshimologong’s vision.
- Oversee the design and execution of incubation and entrepreneurship programmes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of enterprise development professionals.
- Drive business growth, including identifying new partnerships, funding opportunities, and income-generating initiatives.
- Ensure effective financial management, budgeting, and reporting for the department.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders including startups, corporates, funders, and government partners.
- Ensure compliance, governance, and risk management within the department.
- Represent Tshimologong at key innovation and entrepreneurship events.
- Contribute to organisational strategy as part of the senior leadership team.
