Context
Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct by Wits University aims to create world-class African digital entrepreneurs through enterprise and digital skills development. As a digital innovation ecosystem, we collaborate with academia, corporates and government to grow the digital economy by developing a pipeline of employable and entrepreneurial digital skills.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE
The role of the Head of Enterprise Development (ED) forms an integral part of Tshimologong Precinct to achieve its vision for entrepreneurship. It is a senior management position reporting directly to the CEO of the company. The Head of Enterprise Development is responsible for the development of enterprise development and entrepreneurship programmes aligned to the overall strategy of Tshimologong as a university-based incubator. The role interfaces with all other functions in the organisation and as such, requires a high degree of adaptability.

MINIMUM /ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Required Academic Qualification/s
Postgraduate Degree in Economics or Business Management
MBA Preferable
Required Work Related Experience
- 5+ Years experience in a business incubator, a start-up advisory or other entrepreneurial experience and/or experience in a corporate
- 5+ Years experience with driving business growth within a company including developing a network of contacts to attract new clients, researching new market opportunities, and overseeing growth projects, making sales projections, and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income
- 10+ Years professional working experience in a managerial role
- 5+ Years project Management Experience
- 5+ Years stakeholder Management Experience

Academic Qualification/s
Certifications or qualifications that will be beneficial include:
● Project Management certifications (e.g., PMBOK, PMP, Agile, CAPM)
● Industry-specific certifications (e.g., related qualification in entrepreneurship)
Knowledge of, or experience with:
● Familiarity with curriculum frameworks and methodologies with regards to effective curriculum design and delivery to entrepreneurs
● A willingness to encourage flexibility, creativity, and innovation during curriculum design, development, renewal, and implementation
