Intern Opportunity: Community & Event Host
Internship Type: Full-time / Part-time
Internship Duration: 12 months
Commitment: Between 8:00am – 18:00pm (Mon-Sat)
As Community & Event host, you will work closely with the Community Manager. Your duties will include Greeting visitors, providing people with information, directing visitors, engaging in customer service, and answering incoming calls. You will also play an integral role in planning and organising events and activities for the entrepreneurial community resident at Tshimologong.
Front Desk Responsibilities
- Provide reception services
- Receive visitors
- Offer support and information to visitors and members of the community
- Engage in customer service
- Answer incoming calls
Community Events Support
- Assist in planning and organising activities and events for the entrepreneurial community resident at Tshimologong
- Arranging tours
Administrative Duties
- Provide support in managing the co-working membership programme
- Provide clerical support for the Tshimologong Community
- Develop and maintain databases (mailing lists, ecosystem contacts, etc.)
- Setting up meetings
- Writing minutes
- Filing
- Supplier management
- Invoicing
- Creative, impact-driven with great people, organisational and admin skills
- Own laptop
- SA Citizen with valid South African ID
- Matric certificate and completed Degree/Diploma from a recognised South African Institute
- Must not have participated in an internship programme
- Must not have been previously had permanent employment
Marketing and Communications (Intern)
Intern Opportunity: Marketing and Communications Intern
Internship Type: Full-time
Internship Duration: 12-month internship
Commitment: Between 8:00am – 17:00pm (Mon-Fri)
We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated marketing intern to join our marketing team. If you are a young and ambitious individual who wants to build a career in social media and content marketing, we are looking for you. This individual must be creative and a digital native with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment. The marketing intern must have an understanding of local and international trends in tech and innovation, lifestyle and branding.
- Performing market analysis and research on the latest trends
- Assisting with daily administrative duties and data capturing
- Supporting marketing team with Designing and presenting new social media campaign ideas.
- Monitoring all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
- Support the team in preparing detailed promotional presentations.
- Helping with the planning and hosting of marketing initiatives.
- Researching and evaluating competitor marketing and digital content.
- Contributing to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content.
- Tracking growth and updating all social media channels
- Supporting the marketing team in growing and tracking the Tshimologong community database.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a passion for marketing.
- Experience and understanding with content creation (amateur level)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Amateur Skills on design software e.g. Canva, Photoshop etc.

EVENTS & RENTALS ASSISTANT (INTERN)
Intern Opportunity: Events and Rentals Assistant

Commitment: Full-time
Responsibilities will include:
- Supplier management
- Generating quotes
- Venue preparation & event setup
- Event Calendar coordination
- Promote Rentals & Events on social media
- General administration including invoicing, data collection and reporting
- Build content, schedule posts and monitor audience feedback for events and rentals
- Cultivate an audience following and promote facilities
- SA Citizen with valid South African ID
